Inca Social continues to grow and opens a new store in Arlington #PeruvianFood

» Inca Social Will Bring a Peruvian Bar Full of Virginia Beers to Arlington
    – The Latin restaurant’s new Rosslyn outpost will offer pisco sours, sushi, and DIY ceviche kits

Inca Social, the vibrant Peruvian bar that serves pisco sours and a long list of Virginia beers by the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro station in Vienna, plans to open its second location this fall in Arlington. A new Rosslyn outpost will boast a to-go market and a big counter dedicated to ceviche and sushi.

The versatile, 7,600-square-foot space at 1776 Wilson Boulevard will also house a pan-Latin ghost kitchen that sends out dishes from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Brazil.

Inca Social brought in Lima, Peru, sushi master Roger Arakaki in to collaborate with executive chef Michael Ciuffardi on a menu that features comforting favorites like empanadas, chicharron, lomo saltado, and aji gallina. Co-owner Fito Garcia helped open Courthaus Social and High Side, which are also big on craft brews.

The to-go section will sell bottles of the brand’s leche de tigre marinade as part of a ceviche kit to assemble at home. Other offerings include $2 margs during Thursday happy hours and monthly prix fixe dinners. Weekends will include Latin dance classes, live music, and bottomless mimosas. Inca’s other partners are part of Velocity Wings and Pio Pio, a Peruvian spot in Great Falls.

A design big on moss and stone pays homage to Machu Picchu, the iconic Inca citadel perched high in the Andes mountains of Peru. South American-inspired decor also includes globe lights and copper to symbolize the sun gods the Incas worshipped and a table configuration reminiscent of the Amazon River. Its original location will also get dolled up this year with a pair of patio swings, more greenery, and a new projector screen for airing soccer games. (dc.eater.com/)
